GET LOST IN THE BEAUTY OF NATURE AT PITTSBURGH BOTANIC GARDEN
Looking for your next weekend adventures? Then check out what the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden has to offer. Their mission is to provide inspiration and education about living a life in harmony with the Earth through their gardens, woodlands, and educational events. There’s something for every member of the family to enjoy and you’ll want to come back for months to come.
STUNNING GARDEN VIEWS
The Pittsburgh Botanic Garden offers five unique gardens for you to enjoy, each one offering its own special habitat and flora. Spend a day with the bees in the Hillside Pollinator Garden or head to the Garden of the Five Senses for some family fun. As you wander around the gardens, your kids will be able to play on the balance beams or climb up the spider’s web. Grandma and grandpa can make the trip as well and relax in the shade of the Learning Pavilion.
In addition to the gardens there are three woodland environments for you to roam through. The Asian Woodland transports you across the world with a lotus pond and traditional Asian plants and trees. There are also special rotating exhibits as well as activities and programs for all ages and levels of gardeners.
From Seedlings classes for younger learners to lectures for adults, education is a lifelong experience at the gardens. Different programs focus on teaching your little one conservation and your teenager how to grow a sustainable garden—the educational opportunities for your family are endless!
