The 2022 Chevy Colorado presents you with three choices of engine to help tailor your truck to your needs:
First are two traditional fuel-powered engines. The standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine provides 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque, along with 3,500 pounds of max towing capability. Meanwhile the available 3.6L DOHC V6 delivers an extra kick, with 308 horsepower, 275 lb-ft of torque, and up to 7,000 pounds of max towing capability.
The third option is the diesel-powered Duramax® 2.8L Turbo-Diesel engine, which delivers 181 horsepower and a whopping 369 lb-ft of torque. This engine was made for towing, boasting up to a 7,700-pound max towing capacity, and with up to an EPA-estimated 20 city/30 highway/23 combined MPG, it’s also the most efficient choice.
These engines come paired with either a standard 6-speed automatic transmission, or an available 8-speed automatic transmission. To help keep your ride smooth and keep you in control, all models are available in a 4-Wheel Drive configuration.
Inside the Chevy Colorado, you’ll find a roomy, modern interior with seating for up to five passengers.
