The Chevy Tahoe is a powerful SUV with two mighty engines to choose from:

5.3L ECOTEC® V8
6.2L ECOTEC® V8

The 5.3L engine delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque and comes standard with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

It can also tow a maximum of 8,600 pounds with 2-wheel drive and the Max Trailering Package. With 4-wheel drive and the Max Trailering Package, it can tow a maximum of 8,400 pounds.

The available 6.2L engine offers even more power, producing 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This is great output for driving in low-traction conditions when you might need a bit more push to get going.

With 2-wheel drive, it can tow a maximum of 8,400 pounds. With 4-wheel drive, it can tow 8,100 pounds.

CHEVY TAHOE CARGO DIMENSIONS

One of the major draws to the Tahoe is its spaciousness. It can seat five to nine passengers depending on your options and configuration. On average, though, it seats eight passengers between the first, second, and third rows.

With all eight seats filled, the Tahoe has 15.3 cubic feet of trunk space. You can also fold down the rear seats to create a flat load floor that can accommodate 51.7 cubic feet of cargo. To truly maximize on space, fold down both rows of rear seats and you can take advantage of the full 94.7 cubic feet of cargo space.

Getting the most out of your cabin area is easy with the available Power-Folding Third-Row Seats. If you need to lay the back seats down flat, simply press a button and they’ll fold down or store

themselves automatically.

One of our favorite features is Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert. These two available features work together to help you merge or change lanes in well-travelled areas.

Side Blind Zone alert works by providing a visual cue when another vehicle enters your side blind spot. This way, you know when it’s safe to change lanes. Lane Change Alert kicks in when you hit your turn signal. If traffic in your intended lane is moving too quickly to allow you to change lanes safely, you’ll get an audible warning to wait until the coast is clear.
